Thank you so much for your interest in Operation Christmas Child! This is your one-stop-shop for all things OCC at PCF:
OCC (Operation Christmas Child) has been a growing ministry at PCF since 2010. We encourage the congregation to pack individual shoeboxes, but also provide a large packing party each November where thousands more shoeboxes are prepared. Items for the shoebox packing party are collected throughout the year. OCC provides many opportunities for fellowship, serving, and sowing into the Kingdom of God to make disciples of all the nations.
Operation Christmas Child exists to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. This is done through shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. Every box is an opportunity to reach a child with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Noisy offerings will begin in August and run the first Sunday of each month from August through November. What are noisy offerings? Well, you know how you have that jar sitting on your dresser that you put spare change into at the end of the day? We ask the congregation to bring those jars of change in on the first Sundays of the mentioned months. This is a fun way to contribute towards the shipping costs of sending the OCC boxes overseas.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP- OCC craft group meets Wednesday mornings from 9am-12 noon in the Gallery with the exception of the Wednesday after the packing party and through the Holiday Season. They will begin meeting weekly again on January 7th. They make, prepare, and package items for the shoeboxes. Everyone is invited to come and go during that time and you certainly don't have to be crafty to participate. All ages are welcome!
-Build your own box for just $25 from the comfort of your home-anytime!!
