Parables, Proverbs, and Enigmas, #5 Wine & Wineskins.  This short parable of Jesus [Luke 5: 33-39] is quite applicable to PCF in 2026.  1) Basic Wine-ery,  Jesus presents the common drink of His day, and the keeping of wine using wineskins, literally the whole hide of a goat, sewn at the apertures, and tied at the neck.  New wine was poured into new skins, to allow for the active, drink to expand and move.  Old skins held the mellow, less active old wine.  It was essential that the fresh wine went into the hide of a freshly killed goat.  2) What We are Really Talking About Here is not winemaking, but the movement of God as it affects mindsets, paradigms, and religion.  The Holy Spirit is the primary agent of new wine.  People of new wine are often energetic, unpredictable, and even have fermenting ideas, while people of old skins are dignified, refined and formal.   Both are valuable!  3)  Pray for, Seek for a Move of God.  Jesus brought a message of new wine, outside their religious mindset.  Likewise, PCF must continue to be a “new wine vessel”, welcoming the move of the HS.
