The Kingdom of God - “Explosive Evidence.”  Holy Week culminates with two powerful, earthshattering events: the Crucifixion and the Resurrection.  Together they are explosive in the advancement of God’s Kingdom.  Even the text of Matt. 27: 45-54 and Matt. 28: 1-10 have supernatural evidence.  Three Aspects of Explosive Force are:  A)  Demolition.  When a building is obsolete and ineffective, it needs to be demolished.  The veil of the temple served a useful purpose to separate the Holy Place from common, sinful people.  But upon the death of the Son, God tore it down!  Col. 2: 13-15 explains that the by the cross,  we are no longer separated, but now welcome to come near to God’s throne.  B)  Upheaval.  Several earthquakes accompanied Christ’s death AND His rising.  These brought upheaval, and total change to the Jewish paradigm, the Passover, and the means for righteous standing with the Holy God.  This changes everything according to Eph. 2: 14-18.  C)  Lift Off.  The resurrection has lifted us from the power of darkness into the kingdom of His Son.  Col. 1: 12-18.  As Jesus was raised, we also will be resurrected.  1 Cor. 15: 20-24.  He is both the “firstborn” AND the “firstfruits”.  BOOM!
